Envious of how beautiful you'll be by my side~
Long Leg approached his mate shyly as she lay sleeping. Just watching her sleep was comfort for him, as the events of the Great Meeting rang too close to his heart even as time passed. He could have lost her in battle, he could have lost her to Scourges...She was his lifeline, his true love. He'd known for years now that she was the only one for him. It had grown slowly, from a spunky friendship to a gentle crush, to abundant love. And now...they were mates. They had a beautiful daughter, Lilly, and a safe pack to protect and be protected by...
He paused for a moment, just watching her sleep, his seafoam-colored eyes sweeping over her sleek form. The sunlight illuminated each tuft of fur to its full glory, and he knew beyond all else, that he loved her.
Logan stirred slightly as Long Leg leaned over, his chest gently brushing her side as he brought his mouth to her ear and nibbled it tenderly. She blinked the sleep from her eyes and turned to lick his nose, as he smiled adoringly at her.
"Good morning beautiful," he murmured, gentle in speech and manner, especially to his beloved, "I have something to ask you..."
She smiled lightly, already guessing what was on his mind. Aster had just announced it, after all, and she'd held back from blurting out an invitation to her sweetheart. She'd wanted him to invite her, the way he had so many years ago, in his younger, stammering voice, his gangly legs too big for his body...yawning away memories, she turned her head slightly to get a better view of him, still drowsy, "Yes, darling?"
He smiled, she could still give him butterflies. Just one look from her autumn-orange eyes and he melted, "Logan...I love you...and so...I was...wondering..." he whispered tenderly, "Will you accompany me? To the Sweetheart Social?"
Her eyes warmed at the soft invitation. Her heart in her eyes saw his heart in those turquoise orbs, and she smiled adoringly, "I would love to, my darling~"
